The Battle of the Rockies is making its return to Rocky Mountain House this summer.
In 2021, COVID-19 and government restrictions forced the cancellation of many World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) events. One of the events cancelled was the WPCA Pro Tour in Rocky Mountain House, known to fans as the Battle of the Rockies.
Earlier this year the WPCA confirmed a four-day race agreement. The WPCA races run from Aug. 18-21 at the North Saskatchewan River Park.
Officials say the event is filled with fun for everyone. On Aug. 18, there will be a silent auction. August 19 will see Drew Gregory will hit the stage, while Chris Brien Country take the stage Aug. 20.
Ticket prices are $25 for adults and seniors and $20 for youth. Camping on site is $10. Children under the age of nine get in free, However, to see the live entertainment, the price is $5.
Earlybird tickets are on sale with your last chance to get them at Market Place on Main, Aug. 11, from 5:30-8:30 p.m..
