A flood watch has been issued for the Red Deer River near Sundre.
According to Alberta Rivers, water levels could rise by 1.5 to two metres, with peak flows of between 300 and 500 cubic metres per second.
Officials say the higher flows could affect Riverside RV and Greenwood Campground. Peak water levels are forecast for the afternoon of June 29.
North Saskatchewan River under high streamflow advisory
Meanwhile, a high streamflow advisory remains in effect for the North Saskatchewan River near Rocky Mountain House.
While no flooding is expected, river flows have increased significantly over the past week. Alberta Rivers data show the flow has risen about 60 per cent, from 331 cubic metres per second on June 22 to 529 cubic metres per second on June 29.
Officials are reminding the public to use caution around fast-moving water and stay away from riverbanks, which can become unstable during periods of high flow.
