The family-friendly, multi-genre Rhythm River Music Festival is set to take over North Saskatchewan River Park from Friday, Aug. 21, to Saturday, Aug. 22.
Nearly 30 artists are set to take the stage during the two-day event, including homegrown talent such as Grim Stone, Tubbman Junction, Just Asleep, Garden Variety Rockstars and Candice Larson, who will join forces with other local musicians as Gravel & Gold.
A diverse array of artists will also be travelling to the event, including Chris Camp, Nate Frederick, D-NiAL, Jameson Monarch, Invectrum, AMBROSE and more.
Rhythm River Music Festival event director Jesse Cretney says there was a major focus on making the festival a weekend that people of all ages could enjoy.
“We will have a bouncy castle for the kids, as well as face painting,” he says. “We definitely focus on the kids and letting them enjoy the festival as well.”
For music fans, Cretney says the festival will feature everything from rock, country, folk, dance, blues and hip-hop, as well as some acts that are hard to categorize and blend those styles together.
Food and drink vendors will also be on site, and unserviced camping will be available for those who want to make a weekend of it.
The event takes place at North Saskatchewan River Park, with gates open for VIPs on Friday at 1 p.m., with general admission admissions entering at 2 p.m.
On Saturday, VIPs enter at 11 with the official shows running 12 p.m. until 1 a.m. the next morning.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite, with weekend packages and single-day passes available.
Children under five are free.
94.5 Rewind Radio is a stage sponsor of this year’s Rhythm River Music Fest.
