The Town of Rocky Mountain House has put out the call for residents to serve on several boards and committees.
Committees and boards provide public members a chance to serve their community and provide advice and recommendations to council on a variety of matters.
Positions are available on the Community Events Committee, Policing Committee, Rocky Mountain House Public Library Board, Rocky Senior Housing Council and Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.
- Community Events Committee
This committee is looking for five public members to help create, coordinate and promote community events. Applicants must live in Rocky Mountain House or Clearwater County.
- Policing Committee
The policing committee is seeking one public member to advise on local policing matters. Applicants must be Rocky Mountain House residents and willing to complete an enhanced security check and take an Oath of Office.
- Library board
Two public members are being sought for the Rocky Mountain House Public Library Board, which provides governance for the library. The appointment is for three years, beginning Jan. 1, 2027.
- Rocky Senior Housing Council
This committee is seeking one public member to help oversee senior housing services in the community. The appointment is for two years, beginning Nov. 1, 2026.
- Subdivision and Development Appeal Board
The SDAB is looking for one member to hear and decide appeals related to development and land-use matters. Applicants must be at least 18-years-old, and preference will be given to those with relevant community or professional experience. It is open to both residents and non-residents of the town of Rocky Mountain House.
