A busy intersection in Rocky Mountain House will receive a new 4-way stop sign.

Warning and stop signs are being installed at the intersection of 50 Avenue and 54 Street on October 12.

Laura Button, Communications Coordinator for the Town of Rocky Mountain House says, “Since the Sutherland Drive (54 St extension) opened last September, there is more movement in that area.”

Button notes the four way stop will improve north-south traffic safety and calm east-west traffic on that stretch as well, stopping traffic in all directions which also addresses the limited sight lines for drivers entering the intersection from the south.
