The Town of Rocky Mountain House has released the names of the candidates running in an upcoming by-election to replace former Councillor Merrin Frazer.

The Town has announced Shea Loucks and Denise Hills as both in the running to fill the vacant councillor spot.

Town officials say the candidate list will be updated every Friday.

Town officials note the last day to file nomination papers is Monday, Oct. 24 at noon.

Other important dates for the by-election include:

• Tuesday, October 25, 2021: 12 p.m. (noon) deadline for candidates to withdraw nominations (restrictions apply).

• Thursday, November 17, 2022: Advanced Voting.

• Monday, November 21, 2022: Election Day.

• Friday, November 25, 2022: Official Election Results.
