Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.

October 28
1:40 a.m. – Rocky Mountain House- – Commercial burglary alarm reported at a local RMH gas station. Several packs of cigarettes, lighters, and lottery tickets were stolen after the suspect smashed the glass door to gain entry.
1:45 a.m. – Clearwater County – Report of a rollover motor vehicle collision on Hwy #11 near Saunders. The lone male occupant was reported to be intoxicated and was brought into an RMH convenience store, by a passerby, who had stopped at the scene. Police attended the store along with EMS, who transported the individual to the hospital. He said that someone else had been driving but there was no indication that there was anyone else in the vehicle with him. The license plate had been reported stolen from Calgary while the vehicle itself had been reported stolen from Ft. Saskatchewan. The adult male was arrested for “possession of stolen property” and subsequently released on a document compelling him to court at a later date. Charges are pending.
October 31
5:17 p.m. – Rocky Mountain House – 911 call of an intoxicated adult male harassing and chasing youth on Main Street of RMH, with a knife in his hand. The complainant observed the erratic behaviour of the suspect and updated the dispatch centre until police could arrive. The suspect was arrested without incident and charges are pending.
11:21 p.m. – Rocky Mountain House – Call from an intoxicated male who advised that a pedestrian had been struck in RMH. Patrols by police and EMS failed to find anyone in distress or injured. It was determined that the call was fabricated and the individual was arrested after a warrant was obtained.
November 1
2:02 a.m. – Clearwater County – Numerous calls from a male who repeatedly asked the Dispatch Centre for more “crack.” Police attended the residence in Clearwater County and when they arrived, they were invited inside for a “hoot of crack.” The “highly” inebriated subject was subsequently arrested under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act after drug paraphernalia was seen in plain sight.
10:06 a.m. – Clearwater County – Theft of fuel and tools from a logging site on the Rapid Creek Road.
November 2
1:12 p.m. – Rocky Mountain House – Report of a packet of candy, found in a kid’s Halloween stash in Rocky Mountain House, which was found open and contained a mysterious substance. Under investigation.
