The Rocky Rams were back in action over the weekend with a triple header.
On Friday, the Rams travelled to Cochrane to battle the Generals.
In the first period the Rams managed 10 shots on net, and gave up 15 shots. The first period was all Generals as they would score just 2:08 into the opening frame to take a 1-0 lead. The Generals continued to keep the pressure on the Rams, scoring two more goals, both on the powerplay, giving the Generals a comfortable 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.
The second period was much of the same for the Generals as they would score three more unanswered goals during the second giving them a 6-0 lead. However, Tristan Hoffus of the Rams would finally solve Generals goalie Jordan McGinnis late in the period with assists coming from Reid Christiansen and Quinn Tomalty. After 40 minutes the Rams trailed the Generals 6-1.
The third period saw the Rams score a late powerplay goal off the stick of Reid Christiansen with assists coming from Kyle Goodrunning and Tyrus Toews making the score 6-2. The Rams managed to get one more late period goal from Kyle Goodrunning but it was too late as the Generals would hang on to win 6-3.

The only goal of the first period came just 11 seconds in, when Andrew Chapman of the Thrashers would find the back of the net, giving the Thrashers a 1-0 lead heading into the second.
The second period saw four goals, two from each team and it was the Rams scoring first to tie the game 1-1 after a shot from Quinn Tomalty. However, just over six minutes later the Thrashers would reclaim the lead making it 2-1. Once again the Rams fought back and tied the game at two a piece after captain Nick Jervis would score on the powerplay with assists coming from Grady Mofford and Tristan Hoffus. The tie would be short lived as the Thrasher would get a powerplay goal of their own with just 16 seconds left in the period, sending it to the final frame with a Thrashers 3-2 lead.
Just 3:19 into the third period Nick Jervis of the Rams would get his second goal of the game and tie it back up 3-3. The tie was once again short lived as under a minute later the Thrashers would score another powerplay goal giving them a 4-3 lead. The Rams kept fighting hard and managed to even the score again when Grady Mofford scored on the powerplay with the only assist from Kyle Humphrey. The Thrashers, however, kept finding ways to score and would put up an even strength goal at 11:19 taking the lead back 5-4. The Thrashers would then score a late shorthanded empty net goal to put the icing on the cake and would skate away with a 6-4 victory.
