Clearwater County officials are reminding residents that on December 16, 2022 an additional 4 per cent penalty will be applied to all outstanding tax balances.

Officials say payments can be made online, and note that online payments often take 3-5 days to process, by mail or in person at the County office.

The County office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Also, officials remind residents an afterhours drop box is located at the front door of the County building.

Officials further point out that if payments are returned from the bank for any reason, taxes are considered unpaid.
