The Rocky Rams were back in action with a pair of home games over the weekend.
On Friday the Mountainview Colts came to town in hopes of defeating the Rams.
It was the Rams striking first at 5:45 in the first period after Reid Christiansen would find the back of the net, with assists coming from Jake Smith and Nick Jervis. However, the Rams lead was short lived, because just 19 seconds later, Steven Bell of the Colts would tie the game 1-1.
In the second period the Rams would give up a goal just 35 seconds after puck drop when Hayden Sotheran scored, with assists coming Paton Rothenbusch and Steven Bell. The Rams would then put their foot on the gas and tie the game 2-2 after a Grady Mofford goal, with the assists coming from the sticks of Jake Smith and Caleb Andrew. Halfway through the second period the Rams would reclaim the lead 3-2 after Reid Christiansen would score his second goal of the game and 15th of the season, this one coming on the powerplay, with assists coming from Cameron Moir and Tristan Hoffus. Reid Christiansen would then complete the hat-trick shorthanded at 17:42, improving the Rams lead 4-2. Cale Stecyk and Grady Mofford gathered the assists.
In the final period, Reid Christiansen would light the lamp again for his fourth goal of the game, giving the Rams a 5-2 lead, with Noah Wilson and Kyle Humphrey getting the assists. The Rams wouldn’t stop there as they would add yet another goal from the stick of Tristan Hoffus, Reid Christiansen and Cameron Moir would add the assists.
Tristan Hoffus would add one more for the Rams at 15:04 to make it 6-2. Reid Christiansen and Cameron Moir provided the assists on the play/
The Rams would skate away easily with a 6-2 win.

On Saturday it was the Three Hills Thrashers coming into Rock for a date with the Rams.
It was the Rams striking first after a Jake Smith goal at 10:36 of the opening period, with assists coming from Reid Christiansen and Caleb Andrew. The Rams would then take a 2-0 lead after Quinn Tomalty scored on the powerplay, with assists coming from Grady Mofford and Jake Smith. Jakob Weimer would then score for the Rams as the period was winding down to improve the Rams lead to 3-0. Caleb Christiansen and Caleb Andrew would gather the assists.
Just 45 seconds into the second period it was Reid Christiansen of the Rams finding the back of the net to give the Rams a 4-0 lead. The Three Hills Thrashers would finally solve Rams goalie Zaiden Hansen after a Caylen Cey goal, with the lone assist coming from Bryce Fenton. Soon afterwards, the Thrashers would get put on the powerplay and would make the Rams pay after Porter Pennock would score, unassisted, to cut the deficit to 4-2. Just past the halfway point in the second period Caylen Cey would score his second goal of the game and make it a one goal game, 4-3. However, the Rams would bend but not break after Caleb Andrew would sneak one by Thrashers goalie Jacob Aellen and would reclaim a two goal lead, 5-3.
The third period saw Thrashers forward Porter Pennock score his second goal of the game, unassisted once again, to get the Thrashers back to within one, 5-4. The Rams would end up notching another goal at 13:12 after Kyle Humphrey would score his fifth goal of the season giving the Rams a 6-4 lead. Grady Mofford and Tristan Hoffus assisted on the play. Reid Christiansen would then add an empty net goal late in the third period to put the icing on cake.
The Rams are back in action Jan. 13 when the Mountainview Colts come to town for a rematch of last week’s game. Puck drop is 8:30 p.m. at the Rocky Arena.
