Clearwater County had a busy agenda this week, here is a look back at their highlights.
Bylaw 1133/22 Water and Sewage
Council granted first, second, and third readings to the Water and Sewage Bylaw 1133/22, on the residential and commercial water and wastewater rates, including rates for bulk, for each of the hamlets of Condor, Leslieville and Nordegg from 2023 to 2025.
Previously, past council requested administration to provide recommendations to implement a cost recovery fee schedule in regard to the operations (excluding the capital investment) pertaining to the water and wastewater systems in the hamlets of Condor, Leslieville and Nordegg. The current fees for the year 2022, being charged for wastewater are, in condor and Nordegg both were set at $60/month and Leslieville was $50/month.
Administration says it reviewed the cost recovery basis for charges as it pertained to the operations from 2019 through 2021.
Nordegg Development Plan – Design Guidelines
Council amended the Nordegg Development Plan design guidelines in order to vary the street lighting and boardwalk requirements in the hamlet’s historic commercial core to reduce installation and maintenance costs.
