Meteorologists with Environment and Climate Change Canada say a Fog Advisory is in effect for the Rocky Mountain House – Caroline area.
Officials say fog patches giving very low visibility will continue today.
It’s noted, however, the fog may lift through the day in some areas but will likely return tonight.
Environment Canada says freezing drizzle is possible in these areas leading to slippery conditions. Residents are reminded that visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to zero in some locations. This means travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
The Fog Advisory is in effect for:
• Brazeau Co. near Brazeau Dam
• Brazeau Co. near Cynthia and Lodgepole
• Clearwater Co. near Caroline and James River Bridge
• Clearwater Co. near Rocky Mtn House and Crimson Lake
• O’Chiese 203 Res. and Clearwater Co. near Sunchild Cree Res.
• Yellowhead Co. near Minnow and Wolf Lakes and Elk River
Officials say fog advisories are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.
