Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. December 31
2022-12-31 @ 11:28 a.m. – Call of an attempted break and enter into a room at a local Rocky Mountain House motel.
2022-12-31 @ 6:49 p.m. – Report of a male walking around with a rifle on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Police attended but the unknown individual had left the area. Another male was arrested on an outstanding warrant and held for Judicial Release Hearing.
2022-12-31 @ 7:59 p.m. – Vehicle stolen while stopped at the store/fuel station at the junction of Highway 22 and 54. The vehicle was recovered 10 days later in Edmonton.
January 1
2023-01-01 @ 2:14 a.m. – Call of an intoxicated woman knocking on doors in the Nordegg subdivision. Police attended and arrested her. She was released after sobering up.
2023-01-01 @ 8:23 a.m. – Reports of individuals shooting at each other from two separate unknown vehicles on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Vehicles were not located.
2023-01-01 @ 5:59 p.m. – Report of an assault on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Police arrested an adult male who was brought before a justice in a Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing, after being charged with assault and breaching previous release conditions. He was remanded in custody until later in the month when he will appear again before a Justice.
2023-01-01 @ 7:29 p.m. – Call of an assault on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve involving a firearm. Police located the suspects in a vehicle which fled at a high rate of speed. A pursuit was initiated and a spike belt was utilized to disable the vehicle which subsequently fled down a goat trail and got stuck. Three suspects were arrested in the vehicle while the driver fled on foot. Red Deer Police Dog Service was utilized to apprehend this individual. Upon being searched, one of the suspects was in possession of a sawed off .22 calibre rifle. Numerous charges have been laid against two adult males and two adult females: including assault, weapons offences, driving offences, and breaching previous release conditions.
January 5
2023-01-05 @ 10:22 a.m. – 911 call of a shoplifter at a business in Caroline. A speaker was stolen and two male suspects fled in a grey Chevrolet pickup. Under investigation.
January 6
2023-01-06 @ 7:40 a.m. – Report of four vehicles with their door locks and ignition damaged, located at a business in Rocky Mountain House. Under investigation.
2023-01-06 @ 9:29 a.m. – 2006 Ford F250 pickup stolen from a department/auto parts store in Rocky Mountain House. The owner had seen the suspect in the vehicle and attempted to remove the male from his truck to no avail. The vehicle was recovered a few hours later in Rocky Mountain House. The matter is under investigation.
2023-01-06 @ 6:29 p.m. – Report of a stolen vehicle on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. The suspect was located and arrested. Charges pending.
January 7
2023-01-07 @ 3:05 p.m. – Report of a vehicle on the side of the road northwest of Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and located an adult male passed-out behind the wheel. A mandatory alcohol screening test was conducted. He blew a “Fail” on the Alcohol Screening Device and was subsequently issued Provincial Sanctions including a $1000 fine, 90 day license suspension, 30 day vehicle seizure, and a mandatory participation in the provincial interlock program.
2023-01-07 @ 7:47 p.m. Call of an intoxicated individual, behaving erratically, and walking around on the road, almost getting hit by cars on 47 Ave in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and arrested the adult female on outstanding warrants. She was brought before a Justice in a Judicial Interim Release Hearing.
January 8
2023-01-08 @ 5:37 p.m. – Call of uttering death threats to a residence in Caroline. Under investigation.
January 9
2023-01-09 @ 9:21 a.m. – Mailboxes broken into and mail stolen in Caroline over the weekend.
2023-01-09 @ 7:28 p.m. – Call of a vehicle with front end damage, in the ditch on Highway 11 in Rocky Mountain House. The driver blew a “Caution” on the Alcohol Screening Device and was subsequently issued provincial sanctions which includes a $300 fine, three day license suspension, and a three day vehicle seizure.
January 10
2023-01-10 @ 4:37 p.m. – Two batteries stolen from a generator at a lease site in Clearwater County.
January 11
2023-01-11 @ 9:29 a.m. – Equipment including tools and a welder were stolen from a truck near Ram Falls on Forestry Trunk Road.
