High temperatures throughout central Alberta continue to break records.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, Rocky Mountain House set a new record high on May 3, with a temperature of 29.0 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 24.4 degrees Celsius set back in 1918. Records in the area have been kept since 1915.
Nordegg also set a new record high on Wednesday with a temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 25.4 degrees Celsius, set back in 2016. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
Finally, Sundre, also set a new record high for May 3, with the temperature hitting 28.2 degrees Celsius, beating the old record 28.0 degrees Celsius set in 2016. Records in this area have been kept since 1993.
