Alberta Golf kicked off its 2023 season on Monday at the Sundre Golf Club.

The new one-day Best Ball event featured 50 teams of two.

Ryan Rutherford from the Glencoe Golf and Country Club paired up with Gerry MacDonald from Inglewood Golf and Country Club to shoot 9-under 63 and take the gross division championship.

Ken Griffith and Grant Lee both from Red Deer Golf & CC shot 7-under 65 for a runner up finish.

The next Alberta Golf event is the Qualifier – Men’s Mid-Amateur Calgary Region on May 29, at the Strathmore Golf Club.
