Residents in Rocky Mountain House will have to wait a little bit longer to receive their blue bins.

Town officials say they have been advised by the supplier that their manufacturing equipment broke down and as a result, Rocky’s shipment of bins has been delayed.

The Town now anticipates receiving the bins by late summer/early fall, and deliver to residents as soon as the bins arrive.

Since the curbside collection recycling program was introduced in May 2022, the Town of Rocky Mountain House says it has had many requests for blue bins to help residents manage their mixed recycling materials.

Town officials note residents will no longer need to provide clear or blue bags for their mixed recyclable materials. Officials add, blue bins will also speed up curbside collection, and reduce windblown materials.
