The Town of Rocky Mountain House, Clearwater County and the Asokewin Friendship Centre have teamed up to host a pep rally and BBQ in support of a bid to potentially host the 2026 Alberta Summer Games.
A motion to place a bid on the Games was previously approved by town council on June 20, 2023.
Officials say, they would like residents to come down and show support. You can show your support by bringing your own homemade signs and making plenty of noise.
The event kicks off Sept. 15, with the BBQ running from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with the pep rally beginning at 11:30 a.m.
This is all happening down at the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre.
