Clearwater County is in the beginning stages of a comprehensive review and rewrite of its Land Use Bylaw (LUB).
As a result, the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) Rewrite Project Kick-off Open Houses have been scheduled.
County officials say they are eager to hear from residents about what’s functioning well, what needs adjustment, and where the County can make improvements.
County officials note, the existing Clearwater County LUB has surpassed a twenty-year mark.
Officials add, the transformations that have occurred over the last two decades necessitate a comprehensive overhaul.
The County say much of the content in the 2001 version was carried over from the original 1987 bylaw. Through the process of review and revision, both the County administration and residents will have the opportunity to evaluate current standards, which might have become outdated, and integrate fresh standards that align with the evolving trends in land use observed over the past two decades.
According to the County, this envisioning of the Land Use Bylaw aims to enhance clarity, readability, and user-friendliness.
