The Town of Sundre will have two outdoor hockey rinks this winter.
Officials say, a permanent year-round outdoor rink is currently being constructed on 2 Avenue NE, near the skate park.
According to the Town of Sundre, the rink will be used as a skating rink during the winter months, and its concrete foundation will allow for other activities to be enjoyed during the off-season. The temporary outdoor rink used in the past is currently being set up in Royal Purple Park for users to enjoy.
It is expected that the permanent rink will be completed towards the end of this year, weather dependent.
The Town of Sundre asks residents to use caution in these areas during construction of the outdoor rinks. Any questions may be directed to the Town of Sundre office at 403-638-3551.
