The number of home sales in Rocky Mountain House was lower in December when compared to November, but slightly higher than the same month last year.
According to the latest market update from the Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were five units sold last month, down from the 10 units sold in November, but up from four units sold in December 2022.
Year-to-date numbers show 141 units sold in Rocky Mountain House in 2023, down from 177 units sold in 2022,
Meantime, the average sale price in Rocky Mountain House last month was $248,700, down from the $275,250 in November, and $250,500 in December of last year.
The average number of days to sell a home in Rocky Mountain House in December was 91 days, up from the 69 days in November and 58 days in December 2022.
Meanwhile, in Clearwater County, there were 11 units sold last month, down from November’s number of 19, but up from the 10 units sold in December 2022.
Year-to-date numbers show 239 units sold throughout the county last year, down from 301 units sold in 2022.
The average sale price in Clearwater County last month was $361,227, down from November’s $411,889, but up from an average of $311,201 in December 2022.
The average number of days to sell a home in Clearwater County last month was 91 days, up from November’s 85 days, and 57 days in December of last year.
For the entire central Alberta market, there were 253 units sold last month, which is lower than the 335 sold in November, but higher than the 191 units sold in December 2022.
Year-to-date figures show 5,072 units sold throughout 2023, down from 5,605 units sold over the course of 2022.
The average sale price throughout the entire central Alberta market last month was $385,694, up from November’s $364,371, and $329,655 in December of last year.
Meanwhile the average number of days to sell throughout the entire central Alberta Market last month was 59 days, up from November’s 53, but down from 76 days during the same month last year.
