The Nordegg area set a new temperature record for January 28.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Nordegg area hit a daytime high on Sunday of 11.9 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 9.8 degrees Celsius set in 2017.
Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
