This week kicks off the 55th annual Rocky Oilmen’s Bonspiel.

Organizer Len Doroschuk Jr. says a full roster of 32 teams are set to compete over four days in our community.

Doroschuk Jr. also notes there’s been a shift in focus over the past several years at the bonspiel. “[T]he large bonspiels (of) one hundred plus teams were focused on celebrating industry, we’ve shifted gears to capping it at thirty two teams. We want it to be a celebration of community with the recognition of industry.”

First draw is at 3 PM Thursday at the Rocky Curling Club.

Six draws on Friday with the first draw at 8 AM and the last draw at 8:30 PM.

Four draws on Saturday with the first at 8 AM with the last draw at 3:30 PM.

Sunday draws start at 8 AM. Semi finals start at 11 AM. Finals at 2 PM.
