A long-time employee of Paradise Day Spa in Rocky Mountain House says the business plans to rebuild at the same location where the old building was destroyed in an early-morning fire on April 18, 2024.
Kristin Muyres, a stylist at Paradise Day Spa for nearly a decade, says the Main St. location is home for the business, but it may take some time to get back there.
“Most likely we are going to temporarily open up somewhere else,” says Muyres. “The building will get rebuilt in that location and we’ll do something big when we move back in.”
In the meantime, a fundraiser has been organized for Paradise Day Spa. Muyers says she has been blown away by the generosity of the community already.

Muyers says the goodwill and generosity shown to Paradise Day Spa is just a reflection on how the business has operated over two decades.
“Alicia (Fossum) has had Paradise Day Spa for coming up on 20 years on Saturday, May 4,” says Muyers. “She’s been able to have such an impact on the community that it’s been amazing to show how much people are willing to give back and help her get back on her feet again.”
The fundraiser will take place at Rockie’s Lounge on Friday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
