Crimson Lake Winterfest is making its return to the Rocky Mountain House area in 2022 and stands to benefit local organizations through a popular fundraiser.
After being cancelled last year due to COVID-19, this year’s event, which includes the Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Bear Dip, will take place on Feb. 19. Money raised will go towards supporting local community organizations. You can either do it by yourself, or bring a team together and rally $100 and then get ready to jump into Crimson Lake.
Crimson Lake Winter Fest at Pioneer Ranch gets underway at 10:30 and runs until 3:00 p.m., with the polar bear dip happening at 1:00 p.m.. There are more events happening at Pioneer Ranch as well if you’re not wanting to jump into the cold lake. The family packed event includes:
- Carnival Games
- Sleigh Rides
- Bonfires
- Snowshoeing
- Ice Fishing
- Chainsaw Carving Demo/Sale
- Hockey/Skating
- X-Country Skilling and more…
There is a $25 registration fee for Freezin’ for a Reason. You can register yourself or your team by emailing the registration forms found at Facebook.com/rockysfreezinforareason to rockyfreezin@outlook.com. Rocky’s Freezin for a Reason aims to raise money for local charities and non-profit organizations through sponsors of all the jumpers taking part.
