As the cooler than average weather continues in much of Alberta this week, a temperature record was broken in Sundre this week.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Sundre area set a new record low for June 19 of -0.8 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of -0.2 degrees Celsius set in 2004. Records in this area have been kept since 1993.
According to ECCC, the average overnight low in the central Alberta region for June 19 is 7.7 degrees Celsius.
