The Sundre area has set not one, but two temperature records this week, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).
ECCC data shows the Sundre area set a new record low for June 20 of -1.3 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of -1.1 degrees Celsius set in 2015. Records in this area have been kept since 1993.
The other record this week was set on June 19, with an overnight low of -0.8 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of -0.2 degrees Celsius set in 2004.
According to ECCC, the average overnight low in the central Alberta region for June 20 is 7.8 degrees Celsius.
