The Rocky Mountain House area has beat a 77-year-old heat record for July 21.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), July 21 saw temperatures reach 32.8 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 31.7 set on July 21, 1946.
Records in the Rocky Mountain House area have been kept since 1915.
The Nordegg area also set a temperature record for the same day.
ECCC data shows it got as hot as 32 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 30.9 degrees Celsius set July 21, 2006.

The Sundre area also saw hot, sticky, record-breaking temperatures.
ECCC data shows it got as hot as 32.1 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 31.2 degrees Celsius set in 2008.
