The Town of Rocky Mountain House is reminding residents that July 31 is the deadline to pay property taxes to avoid penalties.
If you have recently purchased a property in the town of Rocky Mountain House and have not received a notice of assessment or property tax notice, officials say you can contact the property taxation coordinator at the Town office.
Officials say due to possible delays at the Alberta Land Titles Office, the Town may not have received the change of ownership information before the notices were mailed. Residents are advised to be ready to show proof of ownership.
Additionally, if you received an assessment notice for a property you no longer own, you’re asked to contact Town Office.
The property taxation coordinator can be reached by phone at 403-845-2866 or by e-mail at propertytaxes@trmh.ca.
The Town says penalties will be imposed on outstanding property taxes starting Aug. 1, 2024.
