Officials with Alberta Parks are advising residents that recreation areas near Ram Falls Provincial Park are closed due to a wildfire in the area.

This wildfire (RWF-064) burning just north of Ram Falls Provincial Park is classified as out of control, and officials say it is important for everyone visiting the area to be aware.

Officials say the closed recreation areas include Aylmer, Elk Creek, Elk Creek Fish Pond and Peppers Lake Provincial Recreation Areas, as well as Ram Falls Provincial Park.

Any reservations impacted by these closures will be cancelled and fully refunded.
