The Leslieville Community Centre will be hosting a pair of upcoming fundraising events to support critical improvements at the hall.
First up is the Harvest Supper Oct. 26.
The event will feature a catered dinner, a live and silent auction, as well as entertainment from Withrow area musician Ben Crane, says Melissa Wright, booking coordinator with the Leslieville Community Centre.
Wright says the hall is in need of necessary renovations for it to continue to hold a valid occupancy permit, and is hoping the fundraiser will put a dent in the financial requirement to remain compliant.
Without it, the hall is at risk risk of losing its permit and being forced to close, she says.
The Leslieville Community Centre has been an integral part of the community since 1921, says Wright, and has been the scene of countless gatherings, weddings, meetings and funerals throughout the years.
Tickets are $40 each, and will feature a bar with special drinks from Rival Trade Brewing Company in Rocky Mountain House.
Tickets are available at Little Toy Factory in Leslieville, or by contacting the organization on its Facebook page.
The event will also be hosting its Haunted Walk fundraising event Friday Nov. 1st and Saturday Nov. 2 from 5-7 p.m. both nights.
