The Rocky Mountain House real estate market saw a drop in home sales in September compared to the previous month – but stronger sales compared to the same month in 2023.
That’s according to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association which shows 11 units sold last month in Rocky Mountain House, down from the 20 units sold in August, but up from the 5 units sold in September 2023.
Year-to-date numbers show 114 units sold in Rocky Mountain House so far in 2024, close to the 109 units sold during the first nine months of last year.
The average sale price in Rocky Mountain House last month was $321,500, up from $299,670 in August and up sharply from $245,000 in September 2023.
Meantime, the average number of days to sell a home in Rocky Mountain House in September was 73, up from 51 days in August, and down sharply from 208 days in September of last year.
In Clearwater County, there were 29 units sold last month, down from 32 sold in August, and up from 11 units sold the same month in 2023.
Year-to-date numbers show 205 units sold in Clearwater County so far this year, up from the 181 units sold to the end of September last year.
The average sale price in Clearwater County in September was $506,595, up sharply from $384,973 in August, and up from $421,809 in September 2023.
The average number of days to sell a home in Clearwater County last month was 77 days, up from 58 days in August, but down from 118 days during the same month last year.
