The Mountain Rose Centre is set to present its latest dinner theater production, ‘Resort To Murder’, Nov. 9 benefitting the organization’s ongoing work in the West Country region.
Along with catered dinner, the highly interactive performance is North Pole themed, says Cindy Easton, executive director of the Mountain Rose Centre, and serves as a great lead-up to the Christmas season.
Audiences will interact with cast members, says Easton, and will work to solve a murder mystery using hints and clues dropped during the evening.
“It’s great fun,” adds Easton.
Billed as a fun evening out, the event will also feature cocktails, prize raffles, 50/50, interactive entertainment, and music to follow.
Easton adds folks are invited to show in their best holiday regalia. Reindeer antlers, Santa hats and ugly Christmas sweaters are encouraged.
Proceeds from the evening go directly to programs helping women and children fleeing gender-based violence, says Easton, and will not go toward operating costs such as wages.
The Mountain Rose Centre operates a 28-bed emergency shelter, a five-apartment second stage accommodation, a housing support program, outreach services, and women’s support groups, among other local services.

The Mountain Rose Centre has held a number of fundraising events in 2024, including its Vegas Vendetta dinner theatre event in the spring, and its annual food drive in September.
Day-to-day, Easton says the centre will certainly take cash and clothing donations for women and children— but also for men.
“In our housing program we do work with with men, and we do get teenage boys in, and sometimes they need larger clothes,” says Easton.
Tickets for ‘Resort to Murder’ are available at the Mountain Rose Centre located at 4708 46 St. in Rocky Mountain House, or by calling 403-845-5339
