An information session will be held at the Leslieville Community Centre this week regarding proposed renovations to the hall.
Since mid-2024, the hall has been working to raise over $400,000 for necessary renovations and retrofits for it to continue to hold a valid occupancy permit.
Booking coordinator Melissa Wright says without the renovations, the hall could be in danger of being forced to close its doors in the future.
The event will outline in detail about what improvements are required, what costs are involved, and efforts to raise funds. The public will also have a chance to ask questions.
The organization has already held several fundraisers, including a Harvest Supper and Halloween-themed event.
The information session is slated to take place Thursday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Leslieville Community Centre.
