The data shows something of a resurgence for building applications in Rocky, as totals were below $10 million in 2016 to 2018, and below $5 million during the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021.
Recent dollar figures pale, however, compared to a decade ago, when 2014 eclipsed $40 million in building permits. That included nearly $17.8 million for residential development alone.
While 2014 saw high total overall construction value for permits, 2024 was the first time the town had over 100 total permits issued in one year since 2012.
