Rocky’s public works crew have been busy over the last few weeks with water main breaks, but have still managed to get the outdoor and oval rinks ready for residents.

Families in the Rocky area can enjoy a holiday favorite by skating the 400 metre oval rink where it’s a perfect place to teach your kids how to skate, or if you’re looking to get the hockey stick out and shoot some pucks with friends, the outdoor rink is ready as well.

The outdoor rink is located right beside the Rocky arena complex and the 400 metre oval rink is found across the street from the Rocky arena complex.

It’s not all smooth skating yet though, as the cold weather in Rocky is making the ice bumpy in some areas of the ice. Town officials say crews are going to be continuing to build ice and get out with the Olympia to smooth it out and hopefully have it all smoothed out later this week.
