The Medical Equipment Lending Society of Rocky Mountain House stands to benefit from an upcoming music contest being hosted by the Rocky Mountain House Kinsmen Club.

The Great Rocky Mountain Music Talent Contest is described as the perfect opportunity to showcase your musical talents. To enter, visit the Rocky Mountain House Legion on Saturdays from 3-5 p.m.. The cost is $10 per entry and open to youth ages 11-20, who have not performed music professionally.

The event features three evenings of competition which are open to the public with a donation at the door of $5. Event dates are Mar. 31, and Apr. 14, with the finals set for April 28. All performances start at 7:00 p.m.

Officials say contest winners will have a chance at some great prizes. Third place will win $250, second place $500, while first place will win the grand prize of $1000.
