Fortunately no one was hurt following a firearms incident in Rocky Mountain House Saturday night.
According to officials with RCMP K Division, Rocky RCMP received a call on April 16, at 11:22 p.m. of an armed man in a residence on 53 Street.
Mounties say the subject of the complaint had reportedly pointed a firearm and uttered threats at other people in the residence.
Upon arriving, police evacuated the building and contained it. RCMP then requested help from the Emergency Response Team (ERT), who showed up and were able to get the armed man out of the building without incident.
A 24-year-old male from the O’Chiese First Nation is currently in custody with charges pending. RCMP K Division adds, however, that no shots were fired.
Police say they are still investigating the details and circumstances that led to the incident.
