There is one active fire still in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area at this time.
The fire near Crimson Lake is no longer classified as a wildfire. Officials for Alberta Wildfire say the fire is now classified as under control. The fire is located approximately 16 kilometres north of Rocky Mountain House.
Alberta Wildfire noted, there were more than 20 firefighters, air tankers and three helicopters initially dispatched. Firefighters have since been able to contain the wildfire.
Alberta Emergency Alert has lifted the evacuation order for the area and road closures are no longer in effect.
Due to the rain over the weekend, the risk of wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area has now been moved from very high to low.
