The fire advisory and fire restriction in the Rocky Mountain House Forest area has been lifted.
Alberta Wildfire says the lifting of these designations means people who are random camping on public land, may now have a safe wood campfire while on the landscape.
However, permits are still required for anyone wishing to use exploding targets or set off fireworks on public land.
Alberta Wildfire is asking residents to help keep Alberta’s Forest area safe by ensuring your fire is fully extinguished and to never leave a campfire unattended.
If you see smoke or flames and suspect it’s a wildfire, report it by calling 310-FIRE.
