The Town of Rocky Mountain town council says it was saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.
Town officials say, the Town of Rocky Mountain House joins with the people of Canada, the Commonwealth, the United Kingdom, and the world in mourning her death.
As the longest-reigning monarch in British history, Queen Elizabeth II served the people of her country and Commonwealth for over 70 years. Her devotion to her office combined with her dignity and grace were much admired, says council.
The Town of Rocky Mountain House offers its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Queen Elizabeth II, and to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth as a whole.
