Kick it to the Curb weekend is back for the second time this year.
Kick it to the Curb was new to Rocky Mountain House this year, with the first round happening on June 18-19 and now this weekend Sept. 17-18.
Town officials say Kick it to the Curb is a town-wide event to help Rocky residents reduce and reuse. Town officials note, all you have to do is place your unwanted but usable items at the front of your property marked with a ‘FREE’ sign. Then explore curbsides around town to find new-to-you treasures that are marked with a ‘FREE’ sign.
Popular ideas for Kick it to the Curb include books, DVDS, old furniture and small appliances, as well as kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery and pots and pans.
The rules for Kick it to the Curb are to make sure you’re items are away from anything of value in your yard. Officials encourage you to ensure your items in Kick it to the Curb are marked with a “FREE” sign, and at the end of the weekend to bring all your items inside.
