Late season heat continues to break temperature records across central Alberta.
Meteorologists with Environment and Climate Change Canada say the Rocky Mountain House area unofficially broke a temperature record set in 1929 of 23.9 degrees Celsius, with the new record now being 24.0 degrees Celsius. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
Sundre also set a new record of 26.1 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 24.0 degrees Celsius set in 2015. Records in the Sundre area have been kept since 1993.
Nordegg also managed to set a new record of 24.6 degrees Celsius, which beat the old one of 23.5 degrees Celsius set in 2015. Records in the Nordegg area have been kept since 1915.
