The Rocky Rams have their work cut out for them as they look to play two of the hottest teams in the Heritage Junior Hockey League (HJHL) this weekend.
On Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, the Rams will take on the Cochrane Generals for their first meeting of the season. The Generals roll into town having won their last five meetings outscoring their opponents 31-11. The Generals come into Rocky with a record of 7-3-0 which puts them in second place in the Southern Division.
The Rams will have to try to stop the Generals high powered offence lead by Patrick Forde who currently leads the HJHL in goals with 13 as well as points, with Forde racking up 23 points in just 10 games.
The Rams come into this weekend with a record of 3-5-2 which puts them in third place in the Northern Division. Over their last five games the Rams hold a record 2-3, getting outscored 21-17.
On Saturday, the Rams travel to Mountainview for a game against the Colts.
The Colts are currently sitting in second place in the Northern Division with a record of 5-2. The Colts in their last five games are 4-1 outscoring their opponents 31-17.
Puck drop for Friday’s game is 8:30 p.m. at the Rocky Arena. Puck drop for the Rams road game is 8:00 p.m. at the Didsbury Memorial Complex Arena.
