Clearwater County council will soon be considering first reading of an updated draft Municipal Development Plan (MDP) Bylaw at an upcoming meeting of council.
County officials say the MDP is an important guiding document that creates the long-term vision and goals for future development in the county, reflecting the vision of county council, residents and stakeholders.
Officials note, the What We Heard Report outlines public engagement initiatives that were executed between 2020 and 2022, summarizes themes of concern and topics of interest relating to MDP policy and clearly illustrates the influence that public engagement feedback had on the drafting of the plan to date. Officials say the MDP review and revisions have been made possible only by the extensive participation of all project stakeholders.
The updated draft MDP along with the What We Heard Report from the County is now available here.
Officials add, referrals will be circulated for an extended period of time prior to the Public Hearing which is anticipated to be scheduled in February 2023.
