The number of home sales in Rocky Mountain House remained the same in January when compared to December but were lower when compared to the same month last year.
According to the latest market update from the Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were four units sold in Rocky Mountain House last month, the same amount sold in December 2022. However, January 2022 saw nine units sold, which is five units higher than sold in January of this year.
The average sale price in Rocky last month was $316,875, up from $250,500 in December and $279,389 in January 2022.
The average number of days to sell a home in Rocky last month was 96, up from 58 days in December but lower than an average of 144 days to sell in January 2022.
Meanwhile, in Clearwater County, home sales were lower in January when compared to December, but January 2022 was higher when compared to this year.
According to the latest market update, there were seven units sold throughout Clearwater County last month, which is lower than the 10 units sold in December and 15 units sold in January 2022.
The average sale price in the County last month was $361,786, up from Decembers $311,201, but lower than January 2022 when the average sale price was $362,467.
The average number of days to sell a home in Clearwater County last month was 110 days, which is higher than December’s 57 days, but remained lower than January 2022 when the average was 126 days to sell.
For the entire central Alberta market, there were 216 units sold last month, up from 191 units sold in December, but down from 316 units sold in January 2022.
The average sale price throughout the entire central Alberta market last month was $289,450, down from $313,000 in December and $333,755 in January 2022.
Meanwhile, the average number of days to sell throughout the entire central Alberta market last month was 83, up from 76 days in December and 80 days in January 2022.
