As the hot weather continues in Alberta more temperature records are being broken.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Rocky Mountain House area set a new record high for May 1, of 28.1 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 25.2 degrees Celsius set in 1980. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
The Sundre area also set a new record high of 27.2 degrees Celsius for May 1, beating the old record of 23.5 degrees Celsius set in 1998. Records in this area have been kept since 1993.
Nordegg also set a record high on May 1, of 24.2 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 24.0 set back in 1998. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
