High temperatures throughout central Alberta continue to break more records this week.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Rocky Mountain House area set a new record high on May 4, with a temperature of 28.5 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 26.7 degrees Celsius set back in 1992. Records in the area have been kept since 1915.
The Nordegg area also set a new record high on Thursday with a temperature of 26.0 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 23.0 degrees Celsius, set back in 1992. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
Finally, the Sundre area also set a new record high for May 4, with the temperature hitting 27.7 degrees Celsius, beating the old record 25.2 degrees Celsius set in 2016. Records in this area have been kept since 1993.
