Kick it to the Curb is coming back for its second year in Rocky Mountain House.

Kick it to the Curb was new to the community in 2022. Town officials note, the upcoming Kick it to the Curb weekend this year will be on June 17 and 18.

Town officials say Kick it to the Curb is a town-wide event to help Rocky residents reduce and reuse. You can place your unwanted but still useable items at the front of your property marked with a ‘FREE’ sign. Then you can explore curbsides around the community to find new-to-you treasures that are marked with a ‘FREE’ sign.

Popular ideas for Kick it to the Curb include books, DVDS, old furniture and small appliances, as well as kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery and pots and pans.

The rules for Kick it to the Curb are to make sure you’re items are away from anything of value in your yard. Officials encourage you to ensure your items in Kick it to the Curb are marked with a “FREE” sign, and at the end of the weekend to bring all of your items inside.
