High temperatures throughout central Alberta broke records throughout Clearwater County on Tuesday.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the Nordegg area broke its old record of 28.0 degrees Celsius, set back in 1998 with a new record of 28.3 degrees Celsius. Records in the area have been kept since 1915.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain House also broke its 1929 record of 29.4 degrees Celsius. The new record set on Tuesday was 30.3 degrees Celsius. Records in this area have been kept since 1915.
Finally, Breton set a record of 30.1 degrees Celsius, beating its old record of 28.8 degrees Celsius set in 2002. Records in this area have been kept since 1939.
