Clearwater County is looking for residents to help fill various board and committee positions.
Each year, Clearwater County council appoints elected officials and citizens to over 40 boards and committees. Officials say these boards and committees are established by council through bylaws and may be delegated certain duties such as providing advice to council on a range of municipal issues that help shape the community. Officials add, these boards and committees are diverse, independent and impartial. They are made up of dedicated volunteers from across the County with varied skills, backgrounds and experience.
County officials say serving on a board or committee is an excellent opportunity to share your skills and experience and to give back to your community. In accordance with Council’s Public Member Remuneration Policy, public members receive compensation for their time and incidental out-of-pocket expenses related to their involvement in these boards and committees.
